Job Description
- Install, configure, and maintain server systems including Redhat Linux, HP, IBM, and Dell servers.
- Manage and support storage solutions, including HP Storage and NetApp Storage systems, ensuring data availability and system redundancy.
- Design and implement network security measures using Fortigate Firewall and maintain network devices such as Cisco, Juniper, and Dell switches to ensure optimal network performance.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure that system hardware, software, and related procedures adhere to organizational values.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
- Work with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution and system upgrades.
- Develop and document system integration best practices, configuration, and support procedures.
- Maintain expertise in TCP/IP networking and related network services (e.g., DNS, SMTP, DHCP, etc.).
- Ensure the integrity and security of IT infrastructure in accordance with established Information Security policies and procedures.
- Provide technical guidance and support to other team members and departments as required.
- Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning, testing, and response.
- Stay current with technological developments in systems engineering and recommend ways for the organization to take advantage of new technology.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a System Integration Engineer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Linux environments, particularly Redhat, and experience with server hardware from HP, IBM, and Dell. - Proven experience with HP and NetApp storage solutions.
- Proficiency with network devices and concepts, including Fortigate Firewall, Cisco, Juniper, and Dell switches. - Solid understanding of TCP/IP and network protocols.
- Broad IT knowledge and a good understanding of Information Security principles.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., RHCE, CCNA, JNCIA, etc.) are preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work in a team and independently with minimal supervision.
- Availability for on-call work and the ability to respond to emergencies outside of standard working hours.
