Job Description
Position Overview:
The After-School STEAM Instructor is responsible for delivering engaging, hands-on STEAM activities and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment for students. The ideal candidate will foster creativity, encourage critical thinking, and build positive relationships, following the provided curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver Pre-Planned Activities: Facilitate age-appropriate STEAM activities based on the curriculum, ensuring students are engaged.
2. Supervise Students: Ensure the safety and well-being of all students, managing behavior and promoting a positive environment.
3. Foster Positive Relationships: Support students’ growth through encouraging and supportive interactions.
4. Encourage Creativity and Learning: Inspire critical thinking and exploration through hands-on projects.
5. Collaborate with Team Members: Work with colleagues and school staff to create a cohesive learning environment.
6. Maintain Classroom Management: Use positive discipline techniques to create a respectful and inclusive space.
7. Monitor Supplies and Materials: Keep classroom materials organized and inform staff when replenishments are needed.
Qualifications:
+ Associate or bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, or related field (preferred).
+ Minimum 3 years of experience working with children.
+ English speaker with strong communication skills.
+ Ability to manage a classroom and engage students creatively.
+ Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in working with young children.
+ Basic understanding of STEAM concepts.
+ Must pass a criminal background check; Teaching Certificate preferred.
Requirements for Foreign Teachers:
+ Must possess an ARC via marriage or APRC and a Work Permit.
Teaching Hours:
* 14:30 - 16:00 on Mondays
* 15:45 - 17:15 from Tuesday to Friday
Locations:
Classes are held in Schools in the Shilin District, Neihu District, Xindian District, Zhongzheng District, and Linkou District.
Hourly Wage:
NT$600 - NT$850, depending on experience and teaching skills.
