Job Description
Stanley Black & Decker is seeking a creative, organized, and motivated Video Editor to join our fast-growing Brand Content team. The candidate must have a strong sense of visual storytelling, timing and have the ability to take raw footage and create a compelling and concise video. This passionate individual should also be curious about trends in video content across online platforms, from social channels to youtube to ecommerce retailers as they create a range of engaging content for these channels.
Required Skills:
Excellent proficiency with Adobe Premiere and After effects
Editing: Cutting, splicing and synchronizing video. Working within existing brand templates and footage to create new arrangements
Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines
Excellent attention to detail to turn around video edits
Work with a wide range of digital camera formats and their respective file based workflows
Ingest media from a variety of formats, transcoding when necessary
Inserting music, sound, or on-screen graphics/text
Problem solving, communication, organization, and interpersonal skills are very important
File management and organization a must
After Effects/ Motion Graphic skills are a bonus.
Color Grading skills is a bonus.
Sound Design/Mix skills are a bonus
Education and Technical Requirements:
4-year video production or film degree
2+ years video editing experience with a post-production house or in-house marketing or advertising agency.
Proficiency in all applicable MAC software (Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office)
Proficiency in multimedia software; Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects and FrameIO.
Portfolio or reel with relevant work experience and examples required.
