Job Description
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Maintain good relationship with suppliers to gain most resource to support Fox any urgent procurement or request. Overall Problem solver when material or capacity shortage. Execution of the purchasing project to improve procurement efficiency and gain most benefit.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and purchase raw material and sub-contract material per MRP requirements.
- Manage inventory levels per goals.
- Manage material shortages by driving to root cause and implement corrective actions.
- Supplier capacity and lead time assessments. Conduct the capacity audit plan and drive supplier's expansion in place.
- Initiate inventory program with supplier and define the appropriate buffer inventory level.
- Planning model implementation and drive strategic procurement activities across multiple categories of spend.
- Drive annual cost reduction efforts.
- Work with cross functional team on supplier relative operational issues. (DMR/MRB/ESG)
- Attend appropriate meetings to support internal customers and management.
- Work with material planner to improve the purchasing operation.
- Follow up & follow through –effect consistent.
- Travel – Up to 10% of time travelling, mostly domestic.
