Job Description

We are searching for a Director to setup and build a AI Infra team of Software Engineers and Data Scientists to develop artificial intelligence (AI), computer vision and data analytics algorithms and applications for our AI High Performance Computing (HPC) Platform.
This challenging role will require someone who deeply understands and can architect algorithms and build systems and teams that advance the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning to the AI IaaS(Infrastructure as a service) and PaaS (Platform as a Service) market. Practical experience in the use and the building of data analytics tools and components in both cloud and on-premise infrastructure are critical.
What you’ll be doing:
- You will be establishing and growing a software team that can architect, analyze, develop and prototype key deep learning and data analytics algorithms and solutions.
- Research and evaluate new methods and technologies in the field of AI.
- Responsible for establishing both cloud and on-premise infrastructure that allows installation, integration, development of various in-house and 3rd party software applications on NVIDIA platforms
- Develop tooling to automate deployment and management of large-scale infrastructure environments, to automate operational monitoring and alerting, and to enable self-service consumption of resources.
- Understand and analyze the interplay of hardware and software architectures on future applications.
- Perform troubleshooting bottom up from bare metal, operating system, software stack and application level.
- Work and collaborate with different software, research, and hardware teams across different companies for solving critical problems.
- Work directly with key customers to understand the current and future problems they are solving and provide the best AI solutions using GPUs.
- Support engagements with customers and their third-party software providers, collaboration with Product Managements, Marketing, and Developer Technology teams.
What we need to see:
- MS or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience and 5+ years of relevant work or research experience.
- Expertise in one or more of these areas: Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Automatic Speech Recognition or Synthesis, Data Analytics, Computer Vision or other AI domains.
- Deep knowledge of computer hardware, particularly graphics hardware/GPUs.
- Experience with GPU-focused hardware/software (DGX, Cuda)
- Knowledge of HPC and AI solution technologies from CPU’s and GPU’s to high speed interconnects (NVLink, NVSwitch) and supporting software.
- Strong programming skills. Extensive experience in Python required.
- Experience working with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow and pyTorch.
- Strong mathematical foundation and extensive experience in Deep Learning, Machine Learning and Computer Vision.
- Strong problem solving, performance analysis, and experience using debugging tools.
- Experience building solutions on Cloud and On-prem backends.
- Ability to conceptualize and architect distributed analytics systems.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, container related microservice
- Experience in building and managing teams.
