Job Description
Overview:
As product engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on all aspects of new product development, from new product business analysis, feasibility study, validation, characterization, and qualification to production release. Coordinate cross-functional teams, wafer fabs, assembly and test sites and subcontractors to overcome technical challenges and deliver the results on schedule. You also will manage product lines to support production related issues such as yield and quality improvement. Key Responsibilities:
• Lead new product development activities from concept to production with cross function teams from Marketing, Design, Fab, A/T and Quality.
• Interact closely with wafer fabs, assembly and test sites, reliability and characterization labs to drive project schedule and resolve problem during the development and qualification phase as project leader. Execute plan to meet the release-to-market schedule.
• Be responsible for product disposition in production line for yield and quality issue. Trouble-shoot root cause with other teams and implement the improvements.
• Be responsible for wafer fab and/or assembly site transfer of the existing product line to meet business growth, cost reduction and corporate strategic direction.
• Team up with FAEs, Marketing, and Designer to define new product specifications, perform product competitive benchmark, and support business analysis.
• Support CQE, FAE and Sales in customer field failure return, customer data request and other technical advice.
• Define product characterization and testing plan and test spec for production.
• Use DIC system such as Agile, QDMS, Oracle and BPM to manage projects.
• Report projects status to managers on a regular basis.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or above in electronics/electrical engineering or other equivalent majors. Minimum 3 year experience as product engineer or equivalent position. Discrete and power device experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of semiconductor physics & device, semiconductor wafer and assembly processes and device testing.
• Knowledge of discrete product qualification requirement, procedure and reliability tests.
• Knowledge of SPC, yield and parametric data analysis.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Team player skill to drive projects effectively.
• Good project management skill.
• Analytical and problem solving skill.
• Self-managed and self-motivated problem solver.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Environment.
