Job Description
1. Responsible for the selection, purchase and contract negotiation management for outbound logistics service (LTL+ small parcel) from BU warehouse to Customer location
2. Supervise & optimize the operation of RD (Site 181) warehouse in Taiwan while ensuring inventory accuracy.
3. Build effective strategies and implement procedures around the transportation of goods domestically for overall cost savings and increased service levels.
4. Negotiate and manage contracts with carriers, freight service providers and warehouses for preferential services and rates, improving Katun’s global operational effectiveness.
5. Provide leadership in areas of logistics standards, metrics, communications, and information systems.
6. Lead and facilitate meetings with domestic logistics service provider, providing a platform for communicating logistics objectives, sharing of best practices, launching, and managing logistics projects.
7. Direct companywide compliance program to ensure adherence to domestic, international transportation (Esp. US to Mexico), security and Customs regulations minimizing liability and protecting the Katun brand.
8. Provide resources and training to ensure Katun wide understanding of the economics of carrier, mode selection and optimization and its impact on the supply chain.
9. Manage overall carrier & 3PL warehouse performance including contractual compliance and performance analyses for superior service levels.
10. Ensure proper capture of freight expense, report, and track to identify opportunities for added cost savings and communicate the benefits of the MRO sourcing process.
11. Facilitate the selection, placement of new employees, and guide/coach employees’ work behavior and development to result in a motivated and productive workforce, who have the skills, knowledge and abilities to function effectively to achieve/exceed quality and productivity goals.
12. Recommend, implement, and monitor, continual improvement/quality initiatives, policies, and processes to achieve quality and profitability goals.
