Job Description We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Software Development Engineer to join our team at Western Digital. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining our digital twin infrastructure and machine learning software tools. Key responsibilities include: 1. Develop and enhance our digital twin infrastructure to improve efficiency and accuracy across the design and manufacturing processes. 2. Leverage machine learning and data analytics techniques to optimize the design and manufacturing process, develop design recommendation systems, identify anomalies, and support failure analysis. 3. Design, develop, and maintain software tools that streamline simulation workflows, minimize human error, and enhance the interpretation of simulation results. Qualifications REQUIRED: 1. M.S. Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or related quantitative/engineering field; or B.S. Degree plus, Graduates in 2024. 2. Experience/coursework/research in machine learning and deep learning 3. Firm understanding of statistical modeling and data analytics methods 4. Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java 5. Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving ability 6. Good communication, relationship skills and a team player PREFERRED: 1. Experience with frontend framework, such as PyQt6, QtDesigner, React JS, Redux, Axio 2. Experience with backend framework, such as FastAPI, Flask, Django 3. Experience with machine learning framework, such as Scikit-learn, Scipy, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Yolo 4. Knowledge in structural, thermal or mechanical in package engineering 5. Interested in semiconductor industry.
