As a Localization Specialist, you will ensure that our products and content resonate effectively with the local audience, reflecting cultural nuances and preferences. The ideal candidate for this position should have at least two years of experience in game localization from Chinese to English, with English proficiency at a native level. Responsibilities: ● Chinese-to-English Localization: Be involved across all areas of our product localization needs, including in-game contents, user interfaces, backend systems, social media copy, official websites, and daily operational support from Chinese to English. ● Quality Assurance: Responsible for testing internal localization content and proofreading localization content from external vendors to ensure high-quality localization. ● Cultural Adaptation: Continuously optimize localization content based on a deep understanding of the target local language, culture, and current events to resonate with local players, creating a sense of authenticity as if the content were written by a local. ● Issue Tracking: Collecting and tracking localization-related issues across different departments, ensuring they are addressed and resolved promptly. ● Documentation Management: Establish and manage internal localization style guides and glossary sheets to ensure consistency in localization style and glossary for the same project. Required Qualifications: ● Native or near-native proficiency in English and fluency in Traditional Chinese ● At least two years of experience in game localization from Chinese to English ● Responsible and detail-oriented, capable of managing own workload to ensure completing projects within deadlines Desired Qualifications: ● Be familiar with Malaysian or Singaporean culture and taboos, possessing a solid cultural sensitivity towards these markets.
