Job Description
1. *Recruitment and Selection:
- Source, screen, and interview potential candidates for various maritime positions, ensuring
compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Evaluate qualifications, certifications, and experience to select suitable candidates for specific
roles.
- Maintain a pool of qualified seafarers to meet the staffing needs of vessels.
2. *Crew Management:
- Coordinate crew changes and rotations, taking into consideration contractual obligations, rest
periods, and crew preferences.
- Manage crew schedules and ensure timely relief for crew members on and off duty.
- Address crew-related issues, including disputes, welfare, and disciplinary, visa, work permit
application, etc matters.
3. *Documentation and Compliance:
- Ensure all crew-related documentation, including contracts, visas, and certifications, are
complete and compliant with international and local regulations.
- Stay informed about changes in maritime labor laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
4. *Communication and Coordination:
- Liaise with vessel owners, operators, and other stakeholders to understand crewing
requirements.
- Maintain regular communication with seafarers, addressing queries, providing updates, and
ensuring high morale.
5. *Performance Monitoring:
- Implement systems for tracking and evaluating the performance of seafarers.
- Collaborate with operational teams to address any performance issues and implement
corrective actions.
6. *Emergency Response:
- Implement contingency plans for crew-related emergencies, such as medical situations or
vessel incidents.
- Ensure timely and effective response to crisis situations involving crew members.
7. *Assist in crew payroll matters
- Verify crew claims, provide crew rotation and contract details for salary calculation
- Administer crew food allowance, Petty Cash on board
