Job Description
We're seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability. If you're experienced in managing UNIX/Linux environments, cloud services, and scripting, and you're ready to lead in a dynamic environment, we'd love to have you join our team!
#Responsibilities
1. Managing and monitoring all installed systems and infrastructure
2. Ensuring the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
3. Identify capacity and performance issues for network traffic to ensure continued, uninterrupted operation of systems
4. Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes
5. Maintain security, backup and redundancy strategies
6. Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
7. Build internal tools to help with development or debugging Improve and build on monitoring, database and storage optimizations
8. Participate in on-call rotation when required
#Requirements
1. Degree in IT, MIS, CIS, Computer Science or related field
2. 5+ years of experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting UNIX/ Linux based environments, docker/kubernetes/EKS/ECS skill is a plus.
3. Solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks (e.g. Tomcat, Apache, NGINX)
4. Solid Cloud experience preferably in AWS and CDNs
5. Solid scripting skills (e.g. shell scripts, Perl, Python)
6. Ability to manage large scale distributed systems efficiently and effectively, CI/CD experiences are welcomed
7. Knowledge of TCP/IP, VPN's, DNS, load balancing and firewall management
8. Proficiency in both English and Chinese, written and spoken.
The initial workplace is located at Taipei 101, with plans to relocate soon to a new site near MRT - Zhongxiao Xinsheng stations in Taipei.
