【Position】 Software Program Manager
【Key Responsibilities】
◎ Lead and manage software development projects, ensuring compliance with internal processes and agile methodologies.
◎ Participate in project teams with firmware/software engineers and internal/outsourced partners to create reliable, cost-effective solutions for peripheral products.
◎ Develop and nurture relationships with internal and outsourced partners regarding software design and development.
◎ Execute and assess test plans and protocols, identifying, logging, and debugging assigned issues.
◎ Code enhancements, updates, and changes for software sections, including AI and machine learning features.
◎ Monitor project schedules and quality, working with internal teams and external vendors/subcontractors.
◎ Identify and mitigate risks, facilitating trade-offs for the agile software development team.
◎ Communicate program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to stakeholders.
◎ Collaborate with management and partners to recommend changes for product/process improvement and quality management.
◎ Drive innovation and integrate new technologies and quality initiatives in engineering projects.
◎ Review program plans for compliance and provide feedback for better program management.
【Education and Experience Required】
▲ BS/MS in Business Management, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
▲Typically 5-10 years of software development and program management experience.
【Preferred Education and Experience】
▲ Proven experience as a Software Program Manager with at least 10+ years in software development.
【Knowledge and Skills】
▲ Experience with software development solutions and Agile methodologies.
Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
▲ Effective communication skills for conveying program plans and negotiating at senior management levels.
▲ Proficiency with defect tracking tools for managing project issues.
▲ Experience collaborating with software, hardware, and test product development teams.
▲ Efficient in tracking schedules, risks, changes, and maintaining meeting minutes.
▲ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with creativity in addressing complex issues.
▲ Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin Chinese.
▲ Proficiency in software design tools and languages like C, C++, C#, Python, Perl.
▲ Understanding of software testing methodologies and firmware/hardware design interactions.
