1. 維持廠房各式系統運轉，依照產業類型不同，所需維護的系統種類也不同。
如：無塵室系統、純廢水處理系統、廠務空調集塵系統、電力系統、氣體供應系統等內容。
2. 保持工廠生產品質、維持穩定產量。
3. 廠務系統設計、擴充與保養。
4. 設備異常處理，人員意外緊急處理。
5. 工程安排與成本控管。
6. 人員教育訓練規劃、資料庫系統建立與維護、資料交接等庶務。
