Molex is seeking a motivated and self-driven Mold Project Manager to grow with our manufacturing team in the Taiwan Design Center located in Taipei, Taiwan.
This person will be driving design for new mold or equipment to support New Product Development activities for the Datacom Specialty Solutions product portfolio.
This person will support all projects that require design, simulation and testing of mold. This will require a fundamental understanding of: 2D, 3D CAD, testing and validation of design.
This position will include travel to Molex plants for mold, equipment and tooling installation and training qualification. This travel will be international and can be up to 20% per year.

What You Will Do (Job Description)
•Develop and support molding and overmolding solutions for NPI (New Product Introduction) for DSS cable products, utilizing a scientific molding thought process throughout.
•Estimates project costs and lead times for new molds, product extensions and revisions to existing molds.
•Works with Product Engineer, and supports MIE’s to review and adapt product design for manufacturability. Attends FMEA meetings and provides input as to process failures. Facilitates mold design review meetings with design engineers, and plant personnel.
•Manage the design process, build and debug of injection molds / mold components / equipment on time and within budget.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
•Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or plastics engineering
•5 year experience in large manufacturing plant or custom/captive molding company
•Experience with 2D and 3D drafting software
•Good communication skills in English verbal, reading & written
What Will Put You Ahead
•1~2 year experience in cable overmolding industry;
•Managing design projects from front to end
•Experience using MS Project, SAP, and Procurement systems
•Dealing with external vendors
•Experience being customer facing
