The candidate will join Synopsys' EDA Group software R&D team working on our next-generation auto-routing and design automation. This individual will be working on projects in the fields of physical design related to Multi-Die Systems and Advanced Packaging. This position provides an opportunity to demonstrate technical leadership and innovation while working as part of a global team that delivers market-changing EDA solutions to major technology companies around the world.

Responsibilities:

Implement innovative software solutions and provide technical leadership across a team developing auto-routing capabilities and general physical design automation for Advanced Package designs.

Evaluate customer and technology challenges and propose solutions.

Write project specifications, implement high-level architectures, drive quality of results and maintain a test-driven development methodology.

Debug and solve problems for our customers in competitive and forward-looking manner.

Adhere to strict software quality and performance requirements.

Work on successful deployment, release and support of advanced Synopsys EDA products and solutions.

Collaborate with Foundries and Assembly & Test companies to implement technologies that provide industry leading capabilities aligned to Advanced Packaging.

Key Qualifications:

Masters/Ph.D. in CS, EE, or related engineering field with 0-15 years of software development experience.

Strong C++, algorithm development and data structure expertise

Experience developing auto-routing algorithms for physical design layout

Proficiency in debugging and software management tools

Excellent problem-solving skills, must be a quick learner and self-starter

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Written and spoken English communications skills (intermediate or higher)

Knowledge in Advanced Package Design or PCB Design methodologies and flows

Proficiency in Linux, Tcl, Perl, of other scripting is highly desired.
