The internship is eligible for college or university academic credit if needed, and is also a great choice for those only seeking experience. 【Company Description】 Shang Chin English, Japanese and Korean mainly provides one-on-one online live tutoring services, with speaking and listening as the main axis of learning. Through correct foreign language conversation interaction, learners can master the correct grammar and vocabulary, thereby improving their overall foreign language skills. We offer learning services for three languages: English, Japanese, and Korean, currently developing a new business in "Chinese Teaching" which is the area new interns will be collaborating on. 【Internship Description】The internship will focus on research and development of foreigner-oriented Chinese character teaching materials guided by the Operations Manager of the Chinese team. The teaching materials involve the making of modern Chinese character cards based on the six books of Shuowen Jiezi (ancient Chinese dictionary; discussing writing and explaining characters). The idea is to dive into the origin of five Chinese characters and find suitable English expressions for translation.

During this process, the Operations Manager will share his expertise in language research, entrepreneurial experience, and thoughts on education and communication.

In return, we hope that interns can provide their own skills (not necessary, but expected) in the following areas:

1. Communication - English or Chinese fluency (Manager can communicate in Eng)

2. Ambition – AI platforms/ apps such as Midjourney and ChatGPT will require active learning and engagement.

3.Team work & initiative – Collaboration will be needed while using the design tool Figma, while guidance will be available, the ability to work individually is also valuable.

【Qualifications】

1. Preference will be given to students of foreign languages/Chinese and programs in the field of education/ communication.

2. Interns must be able to commit to at least 2 months or more. Those who can cooperate throughout the year will be given priority.

【Compensation and other Details】

1. During the internship, only a monthly transportation and meal allowance of TWD 2,000 and TWD 1,600 is provided.

2. Please include the internship duration and course load/ requirement when submitting your resume to facilitate internship coordination with your school.

3. Qualified interns will be given an internship certificate upon completion of the internship. After graduation, outstanding performers will be given priority when job opportunities related to the field become available in the company.
