職務描述
Purpose of the Position:
• Process Development and implementation of technologies for fiber optical systems, components, subassemblies, and connectivity solutions
• Lead product/process Quality/Cost/Delivery/Safety improvement in plant
• Manage Manufacturing Eng. to cooperate with operation team to optimize production system
• Lead/support plant project, such as DMAIC, DESIGN, Lean, etc.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement process strategies, manage process resources, optimize current processes, and maintain process documents.
• Transfer NPI from Technology team to engineering team with Corning Innovation process, which includes component selection and evaluation based on customer requirements.
• Build detailed technical understanding for key process steps and product design of fiber array units (FAU) and co-packaged optics (CPO) solutions.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to detect process variations and abnormalities.
• Develop innovative solutions to improve process capabilities and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, quality, maintenance, different tier of engineering team, suppliers) to implement process improvements.
• Manage and supervise a team of manufacturing engineers, providing guidance and ensuring team success.
• Review new and existing process equipment, hardware, and technology for potential improvements and upgrades.
• Provide technical expertise and training to other team members.
• Comply with all relevant safety and quality standards.
• Participate in risk assessments, inspections, audits, incident investigations, etc.
• Assist in budget development and cost tracking for the process engineering department.
• Report on team performance, goals, and objectives.
Required Skills:
• Strong knowledge of process related standards.
• Strong project management skills.
• Experience with process simulations, risk assessments, and quality systems.
• Knowledge & experience with Optical Fiber / Fiber array units / Co-Packaged Optics is plus.
• Excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills (particularly statistical analysis).
• Proficient in DOE, DMAIC, MEE, MSA methodologies for problem solving & process verification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and influencing skills.
• High initiative, able to work with a minimum of direction, and able to work in team environment.
