Job Description

Job Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Sales Operations to join our dynamic team. This role will be instrumental in optimizing sales processes, driving data-driven decisions, and leading commission planning and calculations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Salesforce, Excel, and Python, with a passion for analytics and operational efficiency. You will work closely with sales leadership, finance, and other cross-functional teams to enhance sales performance and strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Planning: Collaborate with sales leadership to design and execute sales strategies aligned with overall company objectives. Lead annual and quarterly planning, target-setting, and forecasting processes.
Sales Commission Planning & Calculation: Design, implement, and manage the commission and incentive structures for the sales team. Perform detailed commission calculations, ensuring accuracy and alignment with compensation plans, and ensure timely reporting to payroll.
Sales Performance & Reporting: Develop and maintain sales dashboards and performance metrics. Analyze data to provide actionable insights to senior leadership and drive performance optimization.
Sales Process Optimization: Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the sales process. Drive initiatives to streamline operations and ensure best practices across the sales organization.
CRM Management (Salesforce): Serve as the Salesforce expert, managing CRM setup, ensuring data integrity, and optimizing its use to improve the effectiveness of the sales team.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Leverage advanced Excel and Python skills to analyze sales trends, pipeline data, and performance metrics. Provide insights to improve decision-making and sales outcomes.
Sales Compensation & Quotas: Manage the sales compensation plans, ensuring they are motivating, fair, and aligned with business objectives. Track sales performance against quotas and commission plans.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, Finance, Product, and Customer Success teams to ensure alignment and coordination across departments.
Sales Enablement: Ensure the sales team has the necessary resources, tools, and training to succeed. Facilitate onboarding, ongoing training, and access to relevant sales materials.
Market & Competitive Analysis: Analyze market trends and competitors to provide strategic insights that inform sales strategies and competitive positioning.
Requirements:
Experience: 5-7+ years in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, or related roles with experience in commission planning and calculations.
Salesforce Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Salesforce, including managing workflows, reports, and data hygiene.
Technical Skills: Strong expertise in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros) and Python for data analysis and automation.
Analytical Mindset: Exceptional analytical skills with a strong ability to turn complex data into actionable insights.
Leadership: Experience managing sales operations teams and working cross-functionally to drive results.
Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to identify and address challenges in sales processes and commission structures.
Communication: Clear and effective communication skills, able to present data insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in SaaS, technology, or a fast-growing business environment.
Familiarity with sales compensation software tools.
Financial modeling experience is a plus.
MBA or advanced degree is advantageous.
