Job Description
The joint development engineer is responsible to determine factory joint parameters for all projects. The joint development engineer is also responsible for the managing of the factory jointers including planning of training.
Above responsibilities include the following details.
• Disciplinary responsible for FJ jointers.
• Create Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) for FJ testing.
• Determine factory joint parameters (temperatures and durations).
• Optimize the process to determine factory joint parameters, e.g., by performing of thermal simulations.
• Responsible for maintenance of jointing tools.
• Internal or external ordering of semi-con and insulating XLPE tapes.
• Planning of work plans for jointers taking demands from projects into account.
• Coordinate the jointing for projects with production team on a regular basis.
• Coordinate external party for x-ray inspections on joints.
• Cooperate with quality department on quality related matters.
• Ensure safe working environment during jointing and jointing training.
• When no jointing for projects is required, organize the training for the jointers including testing of samples.
• Coordinate sample testing with R&D Test Laboratory Manager.
