Main roles/responsibilities • Ability to properly follow protocols, procedures, and instruction, and document all work in notebook. • Support the project and providing high-quality iPSCs for other research groups. • iPSC stocks banking and management. • Perform daily GxP laboratory maintenance tasks including ordering reagents,maintaining stocks, and aliquoting solutions, etc. • Ensure timely completion of testing and tasks as assigned • Demonstrated accountability and be flexible to change project objectives according to the project needs. The Functional Assessment of Cell Therapy at BeiGene is seeking a highly motivated scientist who believes in the potential of engineered cells to treat cancer and wants to engage with drug development, performing preclinical research and developing novel immune cell therapy. As the Scientist, you will report to the Senior Research Investigator to design and execute proof-of-concept experiments in rodent models and build in vivo functional assessment platforms that can best predict clinical outcomes for various cell-based therapeutic modalities. What You Will Do • Conduct oncology mouse models to evaluate the antitumor activity of novel cell therapy candidates across a range of cell lines and patient-derived xenografts. Establish dose/efficacy relationships. • Execute cellular, immunological, and histological experiments based on functional assessment strategies, project timelines, and well-defined goals. • Maintain animal facilities, and coordinate with consultants, research staff, the facility veterinarian, and others to implement, program policies and facility SOPS. The Foundation Cell Therapy Biology of Cell Therapy is seeking a highly motivated Senior Research Investigator to study on enhancing immune cell property and development of novel cell therapy. The position will involve close collaboration with other research groups, such as genetic editing and iPSC differentiation groups. Deliver new strategies to enhance cell function, particular for NK cells, for immune cell therapy and design and execute a serial immunological and biological experiments to approve them are core expectations of this position. Qualifications • PhD, MD, or equivalent in Immunology, Cancer Biology, Cell Biology, or related discipline. +4 years' experience in immune-oncology drug discovery or cell therapy would be an advantage. • Proven record of research efforts in Immunology, Cancer Immunology, Cell therapy or related fields is a must. Experience in NK cell biology, iPSC, gene editing would be a plus. • Strong knowledge and experience in immunology, molecular biology and cell biology.
