Job Description

Purpose of Function
Provide HR support to the school's faculty and staff, including assisting foreign teachers with their work permit applications in Taiwan. Ensure that faculty and staff receive proper support in both their personal lives and work-related matters.
Qualifications
Experience:
• 3+ years in administrative, education, business, or a related field.
Knowledge:

Key Responsibilities
*Recruitment:
- Post job openings on various platforms and update them as needed.
- Review applications daily and request English resumes for suitable candidates.
- Get approval from the supervisor and department head to invite candidates for interviews.
- Schedule and notify interviewees, and follow up after interviews.
- Conduct reference checks for candidates.
*Contract Management:
- Prepare and verify employment contracts with details like job title and salary.
- Update new hire information in the Teams file and submit contracts for supervisor review.
- Send approved contracts to candidates only after receiving Vice Chairman’s approval.
*Work Permits:
- Inform foreign hires about required documents for work permits.
- Upload documents to the Ministry of Education’s system and follow up on the application status.
- Scan and file the physical work permit once received.
*ARC (Alien Resident Certificate):
- Collect documents for ARC application from foreign hires.
- Apply for ARC at the National Immigration Agency and handle all related paperwork.
*Labor/Health Insurance:
- Cancel insurance for resigning employees and enroll new hires on their first day.
- Enroll foreign teachers in insurance after they get their ARC.
- Update insurance details for employees and their dependents, including health insurance cards.
- Download and process insurance payment slips and employee rosters for payroll.
*Housing:
- Help foreign instructors find suitable housing and communicate with real estate agents or landlords.
*Payroll:
- Remind staff to submit payroll documents, verify payroll settings, and manage payroll events.
- Prepare and send transfer files to the bank, handle payroll tax payments, and manage bank transfers.
*NUEiP Maintenance:
- Regularly update salary structures, insurance, and tax rates in NUEiP.
*Tax:
- Ensure timely online tax filing for foreign employees who haven't been in Taiwan for 183 days to avoid penalties.
New Hire Onboarding:
- Welcome new employees, set up fingerprint and facial recognition systems, collect documentation, and enroll them in insurance.
*Resignation:
- Report resignations to management and assist with offboarding procedures.
*Layoffs:
- Notify the Labor Bureau 10 days in advance of layoffs, inform employees, calculate severance pay, and assist with offboarding.
*New Teacher Orientation:
- Explain HR policies and NUEiP usage during the orientation on August 1st.
*Attendance Records:
- Prepare the summer vacation schedule for staff.
