Summary: This position is a full-time office-based role in Taipei with responsibilities in two major areas: QA Lab Testing and Office Administration.   QA Lab : Maintain QA Lab capabilities so that PTP, Noise, Moisture, and Usability testing can be performed on Cirque touchpads.  Make suggestions for upgrades to laboratory equipment and procedures.  Perform basic soldering when needed for electrical testing. Troubleshoot technical issues by following written instructions and directions from the direct manager.  Perform QA tests and generate reports in Word or PowerPoint as needed.    Office Administration : Shipping and receiving – occasionally send small items such as laptops and circuit boards to US headquarters and or vendors.   Research local vendors for items such as 3D printing, boxes, etc.   Order office supplies as needed.   Organize and keep inventory of small parts and office supplies.  Scheduling meetings in conference rooms.   Receive mail and distribute as needed.   Other tasks as needed to support the local team.     Requirements:  Bachelor's degree, Electrical Engineering or similar Expertise in Office tools such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel   Ability to work with little supervision.  Strong communication skills, including customers and suppliers.  Fluent in Mandarin is required.  English proficiency – strong reading and writing skills and basic conversational skills.  Work onsite Monday-Friday   This position reports directly to Director, Quality with significant interaction with QA and Firmware teams at Cirque’s headquarters. Project Managers will also provide direction on workload and task priority.   

General Overview: Work within a team to design, develop and verify low-level firmware for embedded microprocessors in a mixed signal ASIC environment. Create processes and software to test products in manufacturing and assure that the products meet applicable specifications. Duties and Responsibilities: • Development of low-level firmware for embedded microprocessors • Develop C and C++ code for real time embedded applications • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems • Design and implement tests that ensure quality and functionality of a product • Provide architecture and system design support • Create and implement signal-processing algorithms for conditioning filtering and adjusting for environmental factors • Provide timelines, schedules, functional specifications and failure analysis Qualifications and Requirements: • BSEE or MSEE plus 2+ years of firmware development experience • Understanding of electronic circuits • Understanding of basic mechanical systems • Working knowledge of microcontrollers • Fluent in C, C++ and C# (knowledge of Lua scripting is a plus) • Excellent time management required • Willing to travel * Local travel to customers located around Taipei is frequent. Overnight travel may occasionally be required (1-2 times per year for 1-2 weeks at a time) • Skilled in use of electronic test equipment (i.e. oscilloscope, logic analyzer, meter) • Excellent written and verbal communications skills required * Must be comfortable meeting with and communicating with customers, manufacturers, etc. Mainly will accompany an FAE to provide more in-depth technical support as needed. • Excellent time managements required • Experience in documentation set-up and implementation • Good verbal and non-verbal communication skills
